Greenwich selectmen approve Steamboat Road parking changes, 2026 flag slate
Board of Selectmen · Meeting of January 22, 2026
Greenwich selectmen approve Steamboat Road parking fix, 2026 flag slate amid board tension. First Selectman Fred Camillo and Selectwoman Lauren Rabin publicly criticized Selectwoman Rachel Khanna over a DTC newsletter item suggesting the board limits public comment, with Camillo saying "I will stand up for them at every turn." The board voted 3-0 to amend Steamboat Road parking ordinances and 3-0 to adopt the 2026 flag-raising slate. Deputy Chief James Bonney proposed new two-hour parking on Loughlin Avenue in Cos Cob after finding up to 14 commercial vehicles parked there on a single day; DPW's Michael Kiselak presented a resolution, tied to a $400,000 federal grant, setting a 2040 goal to eliminate fatal and serious traffic crashes.
Burning Tree Country Club sought a one-hour noise-ordinance extension for a July 18 concert. All three items return for votes in two weeks.
