Greenwich Selectmen Approve Division Street Residential Parking Zone

Board of Selectmen · Meeting of June 25, 2026

Greenwich Selectmen approve Division Street parking zone, open debate on rewritten flag policy. First Selectman Fred Camillo, Selectwoman Lauren Rabin and Selectwoman Rachel Khanna voted 3-0 on eight items, including amending Traffic Ordinance Schedule X to make Division Street residential permit parking near Greenwich Hospital and Schedule XA to formalize staff parking on Hillside Road outside Greenwich High School. Khanna's first-read flag policy amendment would require five co-signing residents and 30 days' notice for display requests, which she said was meant "to clarify the process," not "preclude any flag raisings." The board also voted to expand the Energy Management Advisory Committee from seven to nine members and opened a first read on a similar expansion for the Commission on Aging.

Seven returning appointees, including Bob Chaney and James Mack, were confirmed to town boards. A request to raise the Ecuadorian flag was pushed to the July 9 meeting.
