Greenwich P&Z postpones vote on 18-unit Home Place housing
Planning and Zoning · Meeting of May 12, 2026
Greenwich Planning and Zoning closes hearing on 18-unit Home Place housing, defers vote amid safety fears. TPF Homebuilders wants to consolidate six Davis Avenue and Home Place parcels into 18 units, including four affordable units renting from $2,620 to $3,790 monthly under an income cap of $155,400. Greenwich Tree Conservancy director Kate Chvich said 27 trees over 10 inches would be removed; resident Terry Angodo said the process felt like "preparing us for the atrocity that's coming." Commissioners want a clearer construction staging plan and fire marshal follow-up before deciding, likely at the next meeting.
Separately, the commission unanimously approved, 5-0, a new house at 14 Egleston Lane and, 5-0, a four-lot subdivision on Round Hill Road, and re-elected Margarita Albin as chair.
