Greenwich P&Z approves 18-unit Davis Avenue affordable housing project

Planning and Zoning · Meeting of May 27, 2026

Greenwich P&Z approves 18-unit affordable housing project on Davis Avenue. The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 5-0 Wednesday, with two members recused, to let TPF Homebuilders LLC consolidate six lots on Davis Avenue and Home Place into a 1.8484-acre site for nine new buildings and two renovated homes totaling 18 rental units, four deed-restricted as affordable under the state's 8-30g law for 40 years. The commission separately continued a contentious hearing on a new home at 22 Shaw Point Lane, where attorney Joel Green and engineer Steve Trinkus, representing neighbors Christopher and Hannah Peek, argued the town misclassified the lot's rear and side yards to allow construction closer to the water than the standard 35-foot setback.

"The coolest room in that entire house will be the basement," Christopher Peek told the commission. The hearing resumes once state environmental regulators submit review comments.
